I'm sharing 5 tips for building strong relationships with students in the classroom. We'll discuss the importance of learning names quickly, finding out student interests, learning about their families and goals, and creating an inviting classroom environment.

Episode Highlights:

  • Learn student names as quickly as possible through name labels, seating charts, and calling on students by name
  • Discover student interests through icebreakers and sharing what they enjoy doing
  • Get to know about student families and backgrounds through sharing photos or symbols
  • Discuss personal and learning goals with students to support their growth
  • Design an inviting classroom space with flexible seating, well-being areas, and gratitude activities
