Hey!

I'm Kelly…

I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, especially growing up with over 40 cousins and the eldest of four. I started teaching PDHPE & CAFS to make a difference in the lives of young people.

I live in Killcare on the sunny Central Coast of NSW in Australia with my husband Daniel and two gorgeous cheeky girls. When I'm not supporting educators, you can find me at the gym, on the beach or reading...

Teaching Community & Family Studies since 2004 growing the course from about 15 students to over 60 students in a small all-girls school and then spending 2.5 years teaching CAFS at a senior high school has been part of my journey.

Teaching CAFS early on it was just me, the syllabus and a textbook! I had NO IDEA what I was doing. TRUST ME.

Early on I realised that CAFS teachers needed (and wanted) even more support and as a result I did all I could to share my love. This looked like co-authoring two textbooks, presenting numerous study sessions and mentoring teachers at professional development days and conferences.

My love for supporting the professional learning of teachers developed as a result of the volunteer work I began around ten years ago for a professional learning organisation and serving on the Board from 2014-2016 and President in 2016-2018.

My contributions to the organisation was recognised by the Professional Teachers’ Council NSW in 2014 for my work where I received an Outstanding Professional Service Award as an acknowledgment of excellence in the profession.

My commitment to supporting teachers to be the best educators they can be was further developed when I completed a Master in Educational Leadership from the Australian Catholic University and when I became a Google Level 1 Educator
.

As I grew as a leader in CAFS, I became so passionate about helping CAFS teachers and would daydream about doing this full time. THIS BECAME A REALITY in July 2020 when I left the classroom after being completely burnt out and stressed.

Since leaving the classroom I  have developed the go-to spaces for over 1000 CAFS teachers to feel supported through my thriving membership of over 95 members, courses, coaching, MasterClasses and resources.

Whether you are a CAFS or PE teacher, we cannot wait to support you inside The Learning Network!

My Mission

Educators are time poor. We put ourselves second.

I am on a mission to change that.

We know the importance of building on the knowledge, understanding and skills of educators in order to set their students up for success.

Educators who are day dreaming, dabbling, transitioning or transitioned into an education business are craving community to connect with and work alongside to have a bigger impact.
